about back to the Bible

Over the past two years at Disciple U we have studied the Bible and done theology "systematically." In our systematic theology we looked at key biblical topics in detail and tried to understand all the relevant Bible passages for each topic.

This year we are focusing at Disciple U on Bible basics and trying to get a better understanding of how to read, study and understand the Bible. We will try to understand how the entire Bible fits together. The main theme of the Bible (both Old and New Testaments) is God's plan to redeem fallen people through the person and work of Jesus Christ. In the Old Testament God begins to unveil this plan through a series of promises and covenants. In the New Testament we see these promises and covenants fulfilled.

class structure

Three classes offered this year follow an intentional plan of study (click on each course to get more information about that course):

  3. New Testament Survey:  The Promise Fulfilled (March 22 - May 24)
